Winemaker Notes: Our Rosé is the quintessential “summer in a glass.” We aim for a color that evokes a sunset and vibrancy and freshness that shine —so that even in the depths of winter, this wine can sing of sun, blue sky, and dining on the patio.
With this goal in mind, we’ve identified and carefully managed special sections of our estate vineyard specifically for Rosé, farming for early flavor development at lower sugar ripeness to preserve lift and natural acidity.
Our 2025 Rosé is both a blend of varieties and a blend of Rosé winemaking techniques. Catherine’s Cabernet Sauvignon and Marissa’s Cabernet Franc, direct pressed and fermented together, create a beautiful combination of vibrant color, mouthwatering acidity, and expressive fruit aromas. The 2025 growing season also provided ideal conditions for retaining natural acidity in fully ripe Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, setting us up for the opportunity to craft a stellar saignée Rosé.
We pulled juice from our red fermentations immediately after the grapes were destemmed and transferred to their fermenters. This technique leads to a richer palate and deeper color. By fermenting our direct-press and saignée wines separately and blending them post-fermentation, we created the perfect balance of freshness, vivid watermelon and strawberry aromas, and a fuller palate. The result is an extremely versatile food wine that is equally easy to enjoy on its own.
