Varietal Composition: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Aging: 18 months in 50% new and 50% once-used French barrels
Vintage Notes: 2014 in Eastern Washington was one of the warmest seasons in decades. The ripening period in September cooled to the more typical weather for the region. October temperatures rose again to one of the warmest on record. Overall, 2014 was an ideal growing season; ripening was excellent for all varietals.
Tasting Notes: This ruby red wine smells of fresh blueberries, rosemary, chocolate, vanilla, black pepper and violet. On the pallet, the red fruit berry flavors come through as well as hibiscus, vanilla and some black pepper. This award-winning wine can be aged but can also be drunk now.
