Varietal Composition:

50% Cabernet Sauvignon
50% Cabernet Franc

Winemaking: Lightly pressed to extract some color, then slowly fermented at c. 50 degrees F in stainless steel and fined & filtered before bottling.

Vintage Notes: The 2019 is the most recent of a long string of good vintages for Washington. The growing season started slowly as winter lingered into spring but the consistently warm temperatures throughout summer brought things back on track. A warm autumn ensured that the grapes ripened fully and developed complex flavors. While the harvest was smaller than previous years, the grapes were ultra high in quality.

Tasting Notes: This Provençal-style rosé is dry and of medium acidity. It is clean and clear with aromas and flavors of red berries (think strawberries and cream) and an essence of white pepper. The finish is slightly herbaceous which balances out the rounder fruit flavors.  Lovely to drink on its own or with food.

Recommended Food Pairings:

Light pasta and rice dishes
Grilled fish
Wide array of cheese
