Winemaking: Lightly pressed to extract some color, then slowly fermented in stainless steel. Fined and filtered before bottling.
Vintage Notes: 2020 was a relatively warm year for Washington State with a significantly smaller crop than average. A frost event in October 2019 and some storms in May 2020 which impacted fruit set and led to fewer and smaller clusters and berries. What we did not have in quantity certainly gave way to quality. Warm temperatures in September and October allowed the berries to slowly develop sugars and flavors while maintaining acidity. Overall, a spectacular vintage showcasing aromatics and concentrated fruit.
Tasting Notes: Our 2020 Rosé tastes just as gorgeous as it looks! Open the bottle and you are immediately greeted by aromatics of fresh melon. The mouthfeel is soft and plush with just a kiss of sweetness on the finish. Flavors of fresh strawberries, watermelon and crème fraîche make this the perfect wine for sunny days.
