Varietal Composition: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon; 50% from Catherine's Block and 50% from Bridget's Block
Aging: 27 months in 50% new and 50% once-used French Oak
Vintage Notes: 2018 was another stellar growing season and vintage in Washington. Warm spring temperatures were followed by mild conditions throughout the growing season allowing for extended hang time and flavor development. Warm fall days allowed for full ripeness and color, while cool Washington nights helped maintain crisp natural acidity.
Tasting Notes: This deeply colored, ruby red wine features aromas of blueberry compote, brioche, baking spices and tobacco. On the palate, flavors of blackberries and black pepper flourish and provide a persistent finish. The wine exhibits solid acidity our site is known for as well as a very good tannic backbone. If drunk now, we recommend decanting. This wine can be aged for some time.
