Varietal Composition: 100% Cabernet Franc
Aging: 15 Mos in 80% new and 20% Neutral French Oak
Vintage Notes: The 2017 growing season was cooler and crop yields were significantly less than the previous two vintages. Lower temperatures delayed ripening and helped to retain fresh fruit aromatics and mouthwatering acidity. Despite cold winter conditions, 2017 gave us concentrated wines with classic Washington State character.
Tasting Notes: The 2017 Dineen Vineyard's Cabernet Franc is a classic expression of this varietal from our site, where heat during the day and cool nights lead to a wine with delicately balanced fruit and acidity. This garnet colored wine has aromas of dark berries, chocolate, violets and herbs. In the mouth it exhibits the same fruit and floral notes with rich tannins and earthiness on the finish. This wine is ready to be enjoyed now and can be cellared as well.
