Aging: 18 mos in 50% new and 50% once-used French oak
Vintage Notes: 2014 in Eastern Washington was one of the warmest seasons in decades. The ripening period in September cooled to the more typical weather for the region. October temperatures rose again to one of the warmest on record. Overall, 2014 was an ideal growing season; ripening was excellent for all varietals.
Tasting Notes: This clean ruby red wine is of medium intensity. The aromas include fresh blackberry, some fig, chocolate, vanilla, tobacco, leather and violets. The pronounced flavors include berries and chocolate. This award winning wine is suitable for further aging but can also be drunk now.
