Dineen Vineyards

Our Wines: We make a small amount of wine to showcase our vineyards and for all to enjoy.

The Dineen Vineyards label, first released in 2006, is our premium Estate wine. Our wines are styled after those of Bordeaux and the Rhone Valley.

Cabernet Sauvignon: A medium to full-bodied deep ruby wine with dark berry and cassis flavors mingled with spice and chocolate. fruit flavours. It is an elegant wine with medium acidity, balanced tannins, and medium alcohol. It is aged in new and once-used French oak for 18 months for complexity and further aged in bottle for 9 months before release.

Heritage Blend: This Bordeaux-styled blend is typically made with all 5 varietals native to this region of France (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec & Petit Verdot). This wine is a deep ruby color, and delivers a dark fruit and red berry nose with flavors such as raspberry, white pepper, basil, eucalyptus, vanilla and cedar. The wine is soft and silky on the palate with medium acidity and high tannins. Like our Cabernet, it is aged in new and once-used French Oak for 18 months and then bottle aged for a further 9 months.

Viognier: Our 100% Viognier is made in the northern Rhone style. It is a full-bodied white wine that is medium gold in color. It tastes of honey, peach, vanilla and nutmeg. This wine is barrel-aged in neutral French oak which imparts a rich creamy taste.

Kamiakin, our second label wine, is made from Estate grapes and is more value-oriented than our premium wines. It is generally barrel-aged for shorter periods and in neutral French-oak barrels.

Red Blend: A primarily merlot-based blend which includes other Bordeaux Varietals. This ruby-red wine tastes and smells of red fruits and has easy tannins and a soft finish. It is barrel-aged for 15 months in neutral French oak.

White Blend: This wine is a blend of Viognier and Roussane. It is not oak aged and therefore has a bright and light taste and a clear pale lemon-green color. It is a medium acidity and body with flavors of granny smith apple, tangerine and peach.

Rosé: We make our Rosé from Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon using the skin contact method which allows for the juice to stay mixed with the skins for a short period and impart more color and tannin. We ferment this wine to be off-dry in the Provençal-style.

Riesling: This wine variety originated in the Rhine region of Germany. It is an aromatic wine displaying high acidity as well as perfumed and aromas of orchard fruits like nectarines, apricots, honey-crisp apple and pear. Although we ferment this wine to be dry with little residual sugar, it tastes honey-like due to the ripeness of the fruit when harvested. This wine pairs very well with spicy and Asian foods.
